The Wroclaw Opera is one of the largest and most important operas in Poland. Since 1995 it has been acting under the direction of Ewa Michnik, a notable conductor who has cooperated with such operas and orchestras as Prague’s Philharmonic, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Deutsche Bach Orchestra in Hamburg, Nuremberg’s Symphony Orchestra and Kammer Wiener Opera.

As the only opera in Poland the Wroclaw Opera has been preparing unique stage performance since 1997. Shows are prepared in large spaces at large expanse for thousands of audience with several hundred artists by using amazing decorations and special effects. The shows are incredible and that’s why a lot of people from Poland and abroad come to watch them.

The Wroclaw Opera has also prepared an outside stage performance. The most important show “Gioconda” was prepared on the Odra river in June 2006. The six performances have been watched by over 30 thousand people.
