The Wrocław Opera prepares opera „Turandot” Giacomo Puccini in the form of open-air opera mega-spectacle for many thousands audience in cooperation with Grand Theatre in Poznan and Dance Theatre in Kielce. The spectacle will be part of the XI Summer Opera Festival that will be organize at the Olimpic Stadium in Wroclaw. It is the only such a production in Poland.

“Turandot” was written after Puccini death and was finished according to draft and personal tips of compositor by friend of him, Franci Alfano. Libretto of the Puccini opera was based on C.Gozzi’s play, made by Frideric Shiller.

According to mega-spectacle, the huge scene size of 150 by 200 m will be built. The director of this spectacle Michal Znaniecki will create a interactive spectacle with the huge production design, variety of multimedia effects, the hundreds of artists and extras and the fireworks show. The main tenor part – prince Kalaf – will sing the artist that come from Mexico – Luis Chiapa.

The price of the tickets are in the range 20 PLN to 150 PLN.
