The famous trumpeter of smooth jazz, the favourite of audience will perform in Centennial Hall on 11th October at the Ethno Jazz Festival. The artist is known of his work with great artists such as Sting, Paul Simon or Andrea Bocelli. He started playing the trumpet when he was 10. He was invited to the Paul Simon’s band in 1990 and he played there for 5 years. Since today Chris Botti has recorded 8 solo albums and one DVD with his concert that promoted the “Night Sessions” album.  He won a lot of prestige rewards such as Grammy Award.


It was important in his career that after the first solo album “First Wish”, Botti performed not only jazz but also pop music. It made him a lot of new fans. second and third albums released in 2005 in 2007 respectively.

Chris Botti emulates the early tracks of Miles Davis and he is inspired by Tomasz Stańko music. He is interested in jazz and also classical and rock music.
