This international festival of art has a very long tradition. For over 12 years  it has been causing that Wroclaw is perceived by audience and critics as the meeting place of most outstanding guitarists from all over the world. The history of the festival is created by the world-class stars, such as: Paco de Lucia, John McLaughlin, Al di Meola, Chick Corea, Kenny Garrett, Christian McBride, Aniello Desiderio, Tomatito, Costas Cotsiolis, Zoran Dukić, Pavel Steidl, Marcin Dylla or Łukasz Kuropaczewski.


This year’s edition of the festival will take place between 19 and 28 of November. The artistic director is one of the best Polish classical guitarists Krzysztof Pełech. The Wroclaw Guitar Festival is going to be the next interesting artistic event with such wonderful European and world artists as: Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor, Johnny Dickinson, Joscho Stephan, Juan Manuel Cañizares, Jesse Cook, Louis Winsberg and also great chamber bands: Miscelánea Guitar Quartet, Zehnder Kraah Trio or Pi-eR2. Furthermore one can find in the programme of the festival master classes involving stars as well as lectures prepared by professors from Academy of Music in Wroclaw.
