At noon on the 30th of April 2011 at Wrocław’s Market Square guitarists will try to break the Guitar Guinness Record. Young and old people, women, men – all of them are welcome to play with Leszek Cichoński the “Hey Joe” track of Jimi Hendrix.

After the play, the event will move to Słodowa Island, where one can see the performances of: Ten Years After, Neil Zaza and Al di Meola.

Ten Years After was set up in 1967. It’s a blues and rock band and its main period was in the flower child period – the 70s of the last century. The band played on very famous festivals: Windsor Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival and Woodstock.

Neil Zaza is the American guitarist who has been playing since 1987, first with ZAZA band, then alone. He gained popularity due to the arrangements of classical music of Bach and Mozart.

Al di Meola is a well known musician. This American jazz guitarist has been playing for 20 years and is still on the top of the greatest musicians in the world. His music combines delicacy and pugnacious temperament. Ali di Meola has recorded 21 albums and cooperated with Carlos Santana, Phil Collins and Herbie Hancock.
