The Australian singer, poet and writer will be a music star of this year edition of Era Nowe Horyzonty film festival. He will play a concert on July 29 during his tour in Europe that promotes the newest and second album of Grinderman band.

Nick Cave has been some times in Poland – in Wroclaw 2 times – as a soloist on Przegląd Piosenki Aktorskiej in 1999 and in 2001 in Centennial Hall with The Bad Seeds, the heir of a legendary band “The Birthday Party”.

The Bad Seeds, owing to which Nick Cave became popular, plays the dark type of rock. He became a star because of the song “Where the Wild Roses Grow” from the album “Murder Ballads” that he sings with Kylie Minogue.

Three musicians from this band: Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos together with Nick Cave set up in 2007 the Grinderman band – called also Mini-Seeds. Nowadays they play concerts in the USA and promote the second album that was released in autumn. In summer they will promote in Europe (in Dublin, Moscow, Athens and Ostrava) the “Grinderman 2” album.
