This year you will find a wide range of movies presenting current problems and social phenomena from cultural differences, aggression, dissimilarity caused by diseases, issues of justice, squaring and compensation connected with the war in former Yugoslavia to the realization of dreams in an unconventional way. And watching the movie Goethe in love you will get closer to the genesis of the famous Sorrows of Young Werther.

Four of the movies which are going to be presented (Vincent will Meer, 66/67 Fairplay war gestern, Die Stadt Unter dir and Sturm) have not been shown in Poland yet. The organizers have prepared translations of the dialogues and are happy to present the movies to the wide audience.

Goethe in love and Wedding Polka will be shown as previews.

In addition, meeting with the director of the movie 66/67 Fairplay war gestern, Carsten Ludwig and two directors of the movie Wedding Polka, Lars Jessen and Przemysław Nowakowski will be organized.

The organizers of this year’s German Cinema Week are the Consulate General of Germany in Wroclaw and Helios S.A.
